In the Name of God Amen I Alexander McDonald an Assistant Surgeon in the Royal Navy being in good health and of sound mind memory and understanding but having regard to the uncertainty of life do make my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I give and bequeath all wages monies sum or sums of money lands tenements goods and chattels credits and all other my personal estate of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever now belonging to or vested in me or which shall be due owing belonging to or vested in me at the time of decease unto my father Robert McDonald, Esqr now residing in Laurence Kirk in the County Kincardine Scotland And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Joseph Woodhead Henry Joseph Plumridge Woodhead and William Montgomery James of London Navy Agents and my said father Robert McDonald jointly & severally to be Executors of this my Will and it is further [in my] Will and I do expressly declare that it shall and may be lawful for my said executor or executors or his or their executors or administrators in the first place from with or without of all or any part of my aforesaid estate and effects to deduct pay or reimburse himself or themselves respectively all the costs changes and expences of and the accustomed charges & Agency for passing or causing to be passed my accounts and of or for recovering or collecting my estate as well as all other costs charges or expences which he or they shall or may expend incur be put into or become responsible for by reason of the performance of this my Will or in respect of any matter of thing in anywise relating thereto and hereby revoking all former and other Wills Codicils and Testamentary Dispositions by me at any time heretofore made I declare this to be my only last Will and Testament and in witness thereof hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this sixth day of October in the year of our Lord 1841 _ Alexander McDonald (LS)1 _ Signed by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us together present at the same time who have in the presence of the Testator and of each other hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereof _ C. Proved at London the 3th June 1854 before the Worshipful James Parker Deane Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of Joseph Woodhead Esquire one of the executors to whom admōn was granted having been first sworn duly to administer Power reserved of making the like grant to Henry Joseph Plumridge Woodhead William Montgomery James Esquires and Robert McDonald Esquire the father the other executors when they shall apply for the same.
